Big Ribbon, Little Ribbon

Bigribbonlittleribbon
My prize ribbon obsession shows no signs of waning. To the left, a prize ribbon I made for a co-worker's birthday. To the right, the tiniest little prize ribbon from Parcel, one of may favorite-est stores.

I've been toying around with the idea of selling some of these, just these. I think it would be fun to have an online shop that just has one thing: all prize ribbons, all the time.

Brook Farm General Store

Linendishtowels
As I get older, I seem to be gravitating more and more to timeless classics in natural materials, utilitarian pieces that are designed to last. Things like canvas bags with leather handles, metal funnels, spools of jute twine, wool blankets with subtle stripes. I was so excited to get to visit Brook Farm General Store yesterday while walking around Williamsburg. I had to seriously restrain myself from yelling, "I'll take one of everything" when I walked in the store.

Artist Francesco DiMattio has some great style and some even better hair. Her trademark braided style is so pretty don't you think? Maybe I'm just having some long hair envy tonight.

There are some days when I think I would be very happy to escape to this modern log cabin in the woods. This was designed by Piet Hein Eek for musician Han Liberg. Doesn't it look cozy?
