A little late

Oh boy, I am having a hard time getting anything done this week. I'm chalking it up to a little winter ennui. It's supposed to rain all week here in Philadelphia and everything just feels cold and dark. Plus, my much-maligned adopted city was just rated one of the most depressing cities and it's making me sad!

I've been meaning to post this little Valentine's present that I wrapped for Mr. Loveforever. He's a giant fan of pine soap so I got him two fancy soaps (one British, one Swedish) and wrapped them up in craft paper (actually a grocery bag), some teeny tiny pine cones, twine, a little paper heart and of course, a hand typed note. I was pretty proud of the whole thing. 

Plus, I surprised him with a dinner of crab cakes with roasted pepper coulis, mashed potatoes, shredded brussel sprouts and baked pears. Most of this menu was cribbed from a friend who was also cooking for her dude but it was perfect nonetheless!
