Ok, you're right, these are chickens and roosters but aren't they awesome? I could watch them for hours. My grandparents live right next to an amazing organic farm in Wilton, CT and we spent the afternoon there last Thanksgiving Day, as part of our annual "Thanksgiving Day Family Walk".
I hope you all have a great day! I am going to take a few days off but I'll be back at the beginning of next week!
Before I go... a couple of announcements!
The winners of the Craft Stylish magazine giveaway are: Cassandra and Megan! Congrats ladies! I'll be emailing you shortly to get your addresses.
And, don't forget to come out to the Holiday Handmade Cavalcade at the Knitting Factory next Saturday and say hi to me and the rest of the {New New} gang! I'll remind you again next week!
I love these beautiful objects made by designer Gesine Hackenberg.
I've seen a lot of buzz on Lizzie Fortunato on the blogs lately and for good reason! Influenced by their grandmother's sewing skills and flawless style, sisters Elizabeth and Kathryn Fortunato design gorgeous accessories using non-traditional materials.
Here are some of my favorites:
It seems like everyone out there knows all about the Craft Stylish website but I've noticed that a lot of people don't know that there is a print magazine as well. Right now, there are two great issues on the newsstands, Gifts to Make and Holiday Decorating Ideas and they are filled with how-tos and inspirations for the holidays.
It's so great to be reunited with so many cool crafty people again too! After Adorn folded, it was sad to see everyone disperse but I love being in a magazine with people like Linda, Diane, Nicole, Alicia, Jenny and Cathy again plus one of my new favorite crafty people, Katie. This is the perfect magazine for the omni-crafter: people who think of crafting as a way of life and are alway interested in learning a new technique.
So, the lovely people over at Craft Stylish have two sets of these magazines to give away here. Please leave a comment below and I will randomly pick two people (!) to win! Comments will close on Sunday at 5 pm EST.
Have something amazing you would like to share or just say hi? Send me an email!
