On the Wall

Oh I love trompe l'oiel! Not in that Italian restaurant mural sort of way but in this way: simple, graphic and original. I dream of having a house someday where I can do all sorts of nutty things on my walls. These look like chalkboard drawings, a technique that we used often in Anthro display. The scattered books on the floor are a nice touch, no?

I also love Orla Kiely and her new chair for Anthropologie, although I wish it had a little more color in it, like a red-orange or something. There is quite a debate going on about the virtues of this chair over at decor8, which is quickly becoming my new favorite design blog.
